Patriot EggertBrigadier General Carol Eggert, (USA, Ret.) was selected in September 2015 to assist Comcast NBC in their commitment to hire 10,000 veterans in the next two years in the newly created role as VP, Military and Veteran Affairs. She recently retired as the Assistant Adjutant General, Joint Force Headquarters, Pennsylvania National Guard and also Deputy Commanding General-Reserve Affairs, at the United States War College.
Prior to this assignment, Brig. Gen. Eggert served as the Chief of the Joint Staff. She completed a two year tour as a faculty member in support of the United States Army War College. Prior to this assignment, she completed a 15 month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Brig. Gen. Eggert was commissioned as a maintenance and logistics officer and has served in a wide variety of assignments in her career, including Commander of the 3622nd Maintenance Company, Commandant of the Pennsylvania National Guard Officer Candidate School, and Commander of the 328th Brigade Support Battalion. She started her career as an enlisted soldier in the Army Band and later served as an Army recruiter; she has served in the Active Army, Army Reserve and the National Guard.
Brig. Gen. Eggert completed many military career courses to include the prestigious U.S. Army War College. She holds a bachelor's degree from West Chester University, a M.Ed. in Instructional Design from Penn State University, an M.S. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. She is a member several professional associations and is active with several nonprofit organizations that support transitioning veterans, to include serving as Women Veterans Program Director for the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH). In her civilian career, she is an adjunct faculty member for Penn State and has served as a strategic planning and project management consultant in the corporate, nonprofit and government sector.
Brig. Gen. Eggert is the recipient of multiple military awards and decorations including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Action Badge and Meritorious Service Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters. She resides in Chester County with her husband, Francis Crowe. They have three grown children.
She is a Life Member of Chapter 1777, joined MOPH in 2014, and was appointed a MOPH National Officer by the National Commander in 2015.
