Patriot Mathew B. Tully, is currently the Region 1 Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He previously served as the Department Commander for New York from 2014-2016. He is a life member of Chapter 446 in Albany, NY. In 2012, while serving in Afghanistan, Mat was awarded the Purple Heart. He was medically retired from the Active Army in May, 2014 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. While in the Army he served in Korea, Germany, Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He has been awarded over 30 military decorations, awards, and badges besides the Purple Heart including the Bronze Star, Combat Action Badge, Army Senior Space Badge, Army Parachutist Badge, and the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross.
Mat is one of a small number of attorneys licensed to practice in three different countries. He is an Attorney and Counselor at Law in New York State and is on the rolls of Solicitors before the Supreme Court of England and Wales, as well as being on the rolls of Solicitors in the Republic of Ireland.
Mat received his Bachelors degree from Hofstra University and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School.
